this might be skip

or it might be a friend of his. i'm just figuring out how to post to blogs

george in college

george thought this looked like skip. hunter thought it looked like hunter. jean thought it looked a little like skip and a little like hunter.

big sis and cute glasses

i have lots of photos of the kids sitting on the front steps. this is a favorite. i also loved the glasses. i think he only wore them for this picture. there is another one of him in them, less sober, in an earlier post.

favorite, favorite, favorite

the top one is a favorite of all three kids together. hunter is pretty little, i don't think he has any idea what is going on. the middle one is a favorite because it shows the little sausage fingers and toes. skip was such a chunk. he has a bump on his head because earlier, ellen had been spinning him around in the stroller and it tipped over. he bonked his head, hardly cried at all. she felt really bad. but, as i recall, up until the stroller tipped over, he was loving it. and the bottom one of the boys was taken on a vacation to kansas city. skip had fallen by the pool and needed a band-aid. his tooth is already knocked out from hitting it on ellen's head. i should label this one *head injury* and see how many head injury photos there are all together.

cars and binkies

skip was the cutest toddler. he loved the cars and trucks. we had a huge pile of wooden blocks. you can see that he is using blocks as a pillow. he really enjoyed building roads.

then there were the quiet times with the binkies. there are some more binky photos. and i really hope i find the video where he twirled the binky. that was his best trick of all.

assorted shots

the boys in their sailor suits...a studio portrait....and the best christmas ever. he really wanted that truck and the bubble lawn mower. and so we made sure santa brought them. i remember while shopping a day or two before christmas seeing the red snow shovel near the check out at some store. i just bought it on an impulse thinking it was a good stocking stuffer. when he went out and found it in his stocking on christmas morning, he really wasn't interested in opening any more presents. he just loved the shovel and was pretty intent on getting dressed and going outside. he pestered all the while we opened gifts and then finally, he got us to get him dressed and take his stuff outside. i'm sure he was thinking that snow would magically appear. but, no snow for christmas that year.

pretty in pink

this was one of my favorite outfits that ellen wore. it was velour and so soft. i couldn't resist putting it on skip a few times.

holiday hair

an early shot of the holiday hair. he's two months old.

big sister

he was quite a chunk.

corn fed boy

i love how he is carefully flicking a kernel of corn off his hand onto the floor. and his hair looks like cornsilk. this is probably the summer he turned two.

fun hairdo

skip was probably in 6th or 7th grade. he had the skater haircut which was long on top and short underneath. it really did look wonderful when he was skating and it was flying around. i don't remember why we colored it. it might have been st patrick's day.

brothers

they were so cute playing out in the dirt. hunter was less than a year old. he was still crawling.
